- —1 tablespoon vinegar
- —1 rounded teaspoon turmeric
- —1½-inch piece fresh ginger, sliced
- —¼ teaspoon black pepper
- —Water

Notes
Turmeric and ginger give the broth a warm flavor and a golden color.
This broth is excellent for sipping on its own or using as a base for soups.
For a lighter, more plentiful broth, fill to the Instant Pot fill line.
You can also add aromatics to the pot — half an onion, a carrot, a stalk of fennel, a small apple, a few cloves of garlic, a rib of celery, or a few sprigs of parsley. Use any or all of them.
Suggested Serving
- Warm a mug of broth with a squeeze of lemon and a pinch of salt.
