Roasted Broccoli with Chili Flakes

Broccoli roasted with olive oil, salt, pepper, and a pinch of chili flakes until tender and lightly browned. Simple and full of flavor.
Ingredients
- —1 large head broccoli
- —2 tablespoons olive oil
- —½ teaspoon sea salt
- —¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- —¼ teaspoon chili flakes
Directions
- 1.Preheat the oven to 400°F.
- 2.Rinse the broccoli and cut it into florets.
- 3.Place the broccoli on a baking sheet and toss with olive oil, salt, pepper, and chili flakes.
- 4.Spread the broccoli out so it roasts rather than steams.
- 5.Roast for 20–25 minutes, stirring once if you like, until tender and lightly browned.
Notes
Smaller florets cook a little faster and develop more browned edges.
Adjust the chili flakes to your preferred level of heat.
