Roasted Broccoli with Chili Flakes

Broccoli roasted with olive oil, salt, pepper, and a pinch of chili flakes until tender and lightly browned. Simple and full of flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 large head broccoli
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon chili flakes

Directions

  1. 1.Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. 2.Rinse the broccoli and cut it into florets.
  3. 3.Place the broccoli on a baking sheet and toss with olive oil, salt, pepper, and chili flakes.
  4. 4.Spread the broccoli out so it roasts rather than steams.
  5. 5.Roast for 20–25 minutes, stirring once if you like, until tender and lightly browned.

Notes

Smaller florets cook a little faster and develop more browned edges.

Adjust the chili flakes to your preferred level of heat.
