Broiled Pork Chops

Pork chops broiled until nicely browned with crispy edges of fat. A simple method that produces juicy, flavorful chops in minutes.
Ingredients
- —2–3 pork chops (¾–1 inch thick)
- —1 tablespoon olive oil
- —½ teaspoon sea salt
- —¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- —Optional: pinch smoked paprika or oregano
Directions
- 1.Preheat the broiler.
- 2.Pat the pork chops dry with a paper towel.
- 3.Rub the chops lightly with olive oil and season with salt, pepper, and any optional spices.
- 4.Place the chops on a broiler pan or baking sheet.
- 5.Position the pan on the second rack from the top of the oven.
- 6.Broil for about 4 minutes per side, until browned and the fat begins to crisp.
Notes
Cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of the chops and your broiler.
Pork chops are done when the internal temperature reaches 145°F. Let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
